Giorgio Trinchieri, MD, will deliver the lecture "Cancer as a Disease of the Symbiont/Metaorganism” for the next entry in the DCI seminar series, on Wednesday, May 27. The lecture will be held from 8:10 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Duke South Amphitheater. Trinchieri's lecture will be preceded by a hematology-oncology fellowship presentation from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. All DCI members are encouraged to attend.
Trinchieri is the program director of the Cancer and Inflammation Program and the Laboratory of Experimental Immunology at the National Cancer Institute. His research focuses on the roles of inflammation/innate resistance and commensal microbiota in cancer progression, carcinogenesis, and cancer therapy.
