Duke Campus Club will host a Happy Hour event for new and prospective members on Monday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Parizade. All women affiliated with Duke are invited to attend.
"Duke Campus Club is a flexible way to boost your options for fun and make friendships," said Marie Abbruzzese, longtime member. "For a $25 annual membership fee, members can participate in a variety of activities, including family friendly tailgating and interest groups such as book clubs, bowling, art and music appreciation, gourmet and wine groups, hiking and much more."
Campus Club activities are held during the daytime, evening and on weekends. Members are a diverse group of women affiliated with Duke, and spouses and partners are invited to many events.
On Sunday, Feb. 21, Campus Club will take a behind the scenes tour of Cameron Indoor Stadium. The tour includes a buffet lunch and admission to the Duke women’s basketball game against Georgia Tech. Tickets for the tour, lunch and game are $15.00 ($13 for season ticket holders) per person. Members and their guests are eligible to attend.
On Thursday, April 7, Campus Club members will travel by coach to Wilmington to take part in the renowned Azalea Festival. Guided tours of the Bellamy Mansion, Airlie Gardens, lunch at Elijah’s on the waterfront and a private horse-drawn Trolley Tour will highlight the day. Participants can choose activities, such as shopping at the Cotton Exchange or visiting the battleship USS North Carolina. Breakfast will be provided en route. Fee is to be determined.
