Last year, MoDukes raised almost $20,000 in support of the Movember Foundation, an international non-profit dedicated to accelerating breakthroughs in prostate cancer research.
Every November 1 men around the world are asked to shave down in preparation for a hairy month ahead in which they will grow out their bushiest moustaches to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research. In response, Pedro Williams, Durham’s favorite barber shop, is offering FREE classic straight razor shaves on Sunday, Nov. 1, from noon to 5 p.m.
“We want to help MoBros and MoDukes raise as much attention and as much money as possible,” said Pete Phipps, owner of Durham’s Pedro Williams and Raleigh’s Arrow. “We’ll have icy cold brews from Fullsteam Brewery, snacks, games and giveaways. We guarantee a shiny upper lip as well as a great time.”
Shaves are FREE, but appointments are necessary. To schedule a shave down, visit Pedro Williams, 624 9th Street, or email Pete Phipps at firstname.lastname@example.org. MoBros will be added to the schedule on a first come, first served basis. To learn more about the Movember Foundation and locate MoDuke teams, visit us.movember.com.
