The Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina will host its 10th Annual Evening of Hope Gala at the North Ridge Country Club, in Raleigh, on Saturday, April 1. The event includes dinner and a live auction.

More than 219,000 Americans are diagnosed with lung cancer each year. It is the leading cause of death among American men and women. Lung cancer claims more lives than breast, prostate and colon cancer combined. In fact, one in 13 men and one in 16 women will develop lung cancer. According to the Lung Cancer Initiative only 18 percent of those will survive five years beyond diagnosis.

Proceeds from the Evening of Hope Gala benefit LCI and its mission to fund breakthrough lung cancer research. For more information or to register for the Evening of Hope Gala, "Roaring Toward A Cure," visit 2017 Evening of Hope.
