REACH Equity Talk: DCI's Mitchell Presents on Obesity
Assistant professor of General Internal Medicine Nia S. Mitchell, MD, MPH, will present her research on "Developing a Framework for Integrating Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) into Community Health Centers" on Monday, April 20, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Due to Duke’s COVID-19 guidelines and policies, the seminar will be Web Ex only.
This talk is part of a Research Works in Progress series hosted by the Duke Cancer for Research to Advance Health Equity (REACH Equity). The Duke Center for Community and Population Health Improvement is co-hosting the event.
Mitchell, a Duke Cancer Institute member, has begun to research the intersection of obesity and cancer.
The Duke University School of Medicine announced that she was recently accepted to the Transdisciplinary Research on Energetics and Cancer Training Workshop, a prestigious program to be held, virtually, on June 21 to 26.
