RECORDING POSTED: ACS NC Breast Health Equity Summit

By: Julie Poucher Harbin, Senior Writer, DCI

*updated on Oct. 22 with the agenda and recording
The American Cancer Society (ACS) is hosting its first statewide North Carolina Breast Health Equity Summit — as part of its Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative — on October 16, from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. via Facebook Live. (link will be provided after registration)
There will be expert speakers and panelists from the coast to the mountains who will address health equity issues, ACS partner projects, and breast cancer research in North Carolina. (Agenda and speaker list coming soon!)
"While overall breast cancer mortality rates in the United States are dropping, not all populations are seeing the same decline," said event organizers. "We need to make sure everyone in North Carolina can benefit from the advances in the prevention and treatment of Breast Cancer."
There is no cost to attend using promo code msabc, but registration is required to attend.
