Sweet Night: Desserts, Dogs and DCI
The sweetness of Valentines Day comes early!
Join Duke Cancer Institute Student Ambassadors — Blue Devils Vs Cancer — and DCI for Sweet Night, to be held on Friday, February 7, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the lobby of the Duke Cancer Center.
A night of unlimited desserts, therapy dogs, a cappella performances, and a special auction — all to benefit DCI — awaits.
Founded in 2011 by Allison Vernerey, an economics major from France and onetime center for the Duke University women's basketball, the DCI Student Ambassadors have done much since then to both raise awareness and funds. The group held its first annual dessert tasting event just before the opening of the Duke Cancer Center in 2012.
"The DCI Student Ambassador group is committed to the research efforts of the DCI," says Erin Tait, director of community engagement. "They have hosted numerous events and recruited fellow students to volunteer at other community-organized events supporting the DCI."
$10 for children under 12 and Duke students
$20 for Duke employees
$30 regular admission
