The DCI Center for Prostate & Urologic Cancers educational symposium and tailgate events return for a fourth year!
SEPTEMBER 16: GU Educational Symposium
On Friday, Sept. 16, the DCI Center for Prostate & Urologic Cancers will host an educational symposium for patients and providers — New Approaches to Care of Patients with Prostate and Urologic Cancers — from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Trent Semans Center Great Hall on campus. Parking will be available. There will also be a virtual option.
The first part of the program will address developments in survivorship care, the use of exercise regimens in cancer treatment, and the impact of environmental factors on cancer. Attendees will then break into three discussion session groups (kidney cancer, bladder cancer and prostate cancer) facilitated by Duke oncologists/faculty who will offer their insight into metastatic disease treatment and new advances in surgery, radiation therapy, and imaging.
SEPTEMBER 17: Tackle Cancer Tailgate
On Saturday, Sept. 17, the DCI Center for Prostate & Urologic Cancers will host its signature "Tackle Cancer Tailgate" at 3 p.m. on the grassy area by Amble Tennis Stadium and Card Gym Lot, preceding the Duke vs. NC A&T (6 p.m. at Wallace Wade Football Stadium)
Tickets may be purchased for the tailgate only or for the tailgate & game. Note that there are only 50 tickets available for entry to the tailgate & game combo.
