Research Programs and Groups

The Duke Cancer Institute comprises 10 Disease-Site Groups and nine NCI-Designated Programs.

Disease-Site Groups

Disease-Site Groups have a trio of leaders representing clinical care, clinical research, and basic research, who will work together to promote and advance the diagnosis, treatment, and continuing care of cancer patients.

NCI-Designated Programs

The Duke Cancer Institute has nine basic, clinical, and translational NCI-Designated Programs that are designed to address research opportunities impacting cancer care.

Quality and Outcomes Research

In addition, researchers at the Duke Cancer Institute conduct quality and outcomes research.
