Free Movie and Other Deals During Duke Employee Appreciation Month
Throughout May, Duke will pay tribute to about 37,000 University and Health System staff and faculty with a variety of events and discounts ranging from a free outdoor movie to deals at restaurants and Durham Bulls games.
Employees marking career milestones of 10, 15, 20, and 25 years or more of service will be recognized during invitation-only events as part of the annual Duke Appreciation celebration, which is organized by Duke Human Resources.
A highlight of Duke Appreciation is the movie, “Sing,” at 8 p.m. May 19 on the East Campus Quad. The computer-animated musical comedy features a koala bear endeavoring to save his failing theater.
