LRT for large tumors
What is the Purpose of this Study?
Eligible participants will receive one extra dose of radiation using Lattice Radiation Therapy (LRT) before starting palliative radiation therapy. Palliative radiation is typically given in 5-10 treatments.
What is the Condition Being Studied?
People with large tumors planning to have palliative radiation therapy
Who Can Participate in the Study?
Adults with large primary or metastatic tumors (>4.5cm) outside the brain who are planning to have palliative radiation therapy are eligible to participate in this study.

What is Involved?
The purpose of this study is to ask if using a specialized radiation therapy technique called Lattice Radiation Therapy (LRT) can shrink large tumors when given with the usual radiation therapy.
