The DCI Oncologic Reconstructive Surgery center is an interdisciplinary team of oncologic surgeons and reconstructive surgeons that offers the full spectrum of surgical cancer treatments for patients.

Overview

The DCI Oncologic Reconstructive Surgery center is designed to deliver comprehensive, cutting-edge reconstructive care for cancer patients of all ages, across all areas of the body. With a multidisciplinary team that includes surgical oncologists, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, radiation and medical oncologists, physical and occupational therapists, speech and swallowing experts, social workers, and specialized nursing staff, the center is committed to restoring form and function after cancer treatment. Its goals are to provide personalized, evidence-based reconstruction that supports both the physical and emotional recovery of patients, improve long-term quality of life, and minimize treatment-related morbidity. Objectives include advancing surgical innovation, fostering collaboration across specialties, integrating rehabilitation and supportive care early in the treatment plan, and serving as a national leader in research, training, and education in oncologic reconstruction.
