Overview

Dr. Keisha Bentley-Edwards is a developmental psychologist and Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke University. As Associate Director of Research at the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity and Co-Director of Duke’s CTSI CREST, she examines how racism, gender, and culture shape health and social outcomes. Her work centers the experiences of marginalized communities, to eliminate disparate outcomes and access to health, and trustworthy research practices. A trusted expert for media, policymakers, and community leaders, her research has been supported by major funders including the National Institutes of Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
