Dr. Parisa Shamsesfandabadi is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Duke University School of Medicine, where she specializes in the management of head and neck cancers. Her clinical focus is on delivering precise, compassionate care while preserving function and quality of life for her patients.
Dr. Shamsesfandabadi’s research interests include MR-guided radiotherapy, adaptive radiation techniques, and the integration of novel imaging and technology to personalize cancer treatment. She is also passionate about resident education, mentorship, and advancing multidisciplinary collaboration in cancer care.
Before joining Duke, Dr. Shamsesfandabadi completed her Radiation Oncology residency at Allegheny Health Network, where she was actively involved in research, national committee work, and leadership roles within professional societies such as ASTRO, ABS, and NRG Oncology.
