The Duke Medicine Orchestra, Duke University Chorale, and SONAM (Singers of New and Ancient Music) will host a free concert, taking attendees on a journey through the experience of a cancer patient, the loss of a mother and wife, a funeral cortege for a father and son who fell in battle, and a Mass for Peace. These challenging and genuine topics will be explored and processed through the transformative power of music.
The Duke Cancer Patient Support Program is collaborating on this event to raise awareness for the importance of services that address the psychosocial aspects and impacts of a cancer journey, not just on the individual diagnosed, but for the entire family as well.
