The annual Duke Cancer Institute Big Shave-Off is back after a four-year hiatus!

On December 1, a team of DCI faculty, clinicians, and staff from the DCI Center for Prostate & Urologic Cancers will show off and shave off their gnarly facial hair — mustaches and/or beards they grew out during the month of November to raise awareness for men's health.

They're inviting the local community to participate in a live shave-off auction that night, whereby the winning bidders get to direct the stylists of Pedro Williams (the name of Arrow Haircuts' barber shop in Durham) to creatively shave off a team member's grown-in facial hair into a style of the winner's choosing. Possibilities: the Geraldo, the Salvador Dali, the Half Stache, etc! Any format, at least that the stylist is able to execute.

All proceeds from the event will benefit research at the DCI Center for Prostate & Urologic Cancers.

The bidding, the shaving, and the merriment all begin at Fullsteam Brewery on December 1 at 6:00 PM.
