Eight DCI Scientists Among World's Most Cited

Published

Duke Cancer Institute members Robert Lefkowitz, MD (in Biology and Biochemistry), Barton Haynes, MD (in Microbiology), Charles Gersbach, PhD (in Biology and Biochemistry), Jason Locasale, PhD (in Cross-Field), and Christopher Newgard, PhD (in Cross-Field) have once again made the list of the world's Most Cited Scientists according to the 2022 Web of Science citation index by Clarivate. New on the list this year from DCI are John F. Rawls, PhD (in Cross-Field), and Quinn T. Ostrom, PhD, MPH, MA (Neuroscience and Behavior).

The annual global list of nearly 7,000 authors includes 30 Duke researchers.

**UPDATE Dec.7, 2022: We have learned that DCI member Scott Antonia, MD, PhD (in the Clinical Medicine category) is also on this list of now 33 Duke researchers. When a current Duke faculty member is most cited for a paper they authored at another institution, Clarivate doesn't provide that name to us. We are happy to add to this list, however, when a current Duke faculty member receives direct notification from Clarivate.
